Madrid (06-09-10). ASEPRI (Spanish National Association of Children’s Products) and the españa trademark have published Spain’s first notebook on children’s fashion trends for the autumn-winter 2011/2012 season. The president of ASEPRI, Vicente Mompó, presented the catalogue this morning in Casa Decor at an event attended by the sector’s leading designers, among them Agatha Ruiz de la Prada and Paola Dominguín, various children’s fashion companies, and representatives of distribution channels such as El Corte Inglés.
The Kids Trends notebook by asepri.es, aimed at designers and manufacturers and setting out the key features of the trends which will dominate the season, is an essential handbook for helping Spanish companies to get ahead and adapt to changing market requirements.
The president of ASEPRI, Vicente Mompó, views this catalogue as an essential work tool which he believes will “give direction to companies when they are putting together their collections, but not at the cost of their individual identities”.
Wide endorsement from the sector
Many designers, distribution channel representatives and children’s fashion companies have given their backing and positive acceptance of this first catalogue on children’s fashion trends.
Agatha Ruiz de la Prada gave particular emphasis to the timing of its publication. The Madrid-based designer said “in a tough economic climate, we have to be more professional than ever and carry out projects such as this one to position ourselves internationally”. She also drew attention to the “quality and creativity” of this trends catalogue since it plays a positive part in reinforcing the image of sector robustness, and appreciates ASEPRI’s work in this area, commenting “I feel very proud to belong to ASEPRI”.
For her part, Paola Dominguín pointed out that “this guide provides security for manufacturers and serves as a starting point for designing collections, and scope for each company to introduce its own variations.
Lastly, Flor García, El Corte Inglés representative for children’s division purchases, commented that “this notebook is essential for the sector, because it is a tool which sets out for us all the colours, fabrics and, in sum, the trends which will dominate the season”.
