Cologne, Germany - European juvenile products trade show Kind + Jugend is continuing to grow for the eighth year in a row, and is nearly booked for exhibitors, said company executives.
In addition to well-known companies from all segments, many first-time exhibitors have also secured their stand locations at Kind + Jugend in Cologne, which will take place from September 15th to 18th this year.
About 850 companies from 42 countries are expected to take part in Kind + Jugend, with 80 % of the exhibitors coming from abroad. The range of products on display at Kind + Jugend includes children's furniture, safety seats, textile outfittings, prams and buggies, hygiene articles, toys and games, and fashions for babies and toddlers.
Among others, the following key players will be using the trade fair as an innovation platform: Dorel, Britax Römer, Haba, Geuther, Mapa, Philips Avent and Noppies.
Kind + Jugend executives also report that more and more international companies are taking part in the fair's country pavilions in order to make it easier for them to expand into the international trade fair business. In 2011 there will for the first time be national presentations from Spain, Turkey and Israel.
Appearing at Kind + Jugend once again will be the national presentation from Australia, the U.S. pavilion, the Koelnmesse pavilion for Taiwan and China, and the pavilion of the Baby Product Association (BPA), which will be coming to Cologne with around 40 participants from the UK.
The Spanish Manufacturers Association of Children's Products (ASEPRI), the Europäischer Verband für Kindermode und Kinderfürsorge (European Association for Children's Fashions and Welfare) and Children's Fashion Europe (CFE) will also take part in the trade fair.
