Copérnico-Cetex has been functioning since the end of 2002, and thanks to this system, sales reps have the up-dated collections (colours, sizes, prices…) at their fingertips at all times. This feature will allow them to know the factory stock available for immediate service. In this way orders are taken using mobile terminals, thus permitting automatic integration into the computer system of the company.
The platform is intended, through its different applications, to make it possible for users, sales outlets as well as sales reps and factory, to expedite operations, thus increasing their sales operations and improving their services.
This application has at the same time a number of different independent and complementary uses, which improve services, such as: a multilingual dictionary, "B2B" on-line replacement function, and a sales research system.
There are already more than 300 sales reps equipped with this system, and this is providing a savings of some 10,000€ on the average, due to the absence of errors in the orders and suppression of the task of formulating orders. Also, since January of 2003 all Manufacturers, Sales Representatives and Sales Outlets who so desire can integrate their operations into Copérnico-Cetex.
One of the most important applications is the Children’s Wear and Childcare Products and Accessories Sector Dictionary that allows simultaneous operations in five different languages: Spanish, French, Portuguese, German and English, with the equivalent between the Spanish terms and the other four languages. This module makes the commerce platform accessible to sales representatives and points of sales from a high number of markets.
This represents a substantial improvement and also savings for exporting companies, who need to translate labels for samples, prices, composition, packing list, etc. This dictionary, with up to 20 personalizable languages for each company, has a dynamic translation motor that functions automatically. This makes it possible for each company to translate collections into the available languages and for each Sales Representative and client to work in the comfort of his/her own language.
On the other hand, "B2B" on-line replacement is an application that makes it possible for companies to make different offers on collections and products with the possibility of detailing availabilities to their clients. Additionally, the clients can access to these offers by means of a code provided them by their supplier.
This constitutes an excellent tool for client fidelity, for facilitating replacements and improving the sales prices of stocks.
Finally, this project also features INFOMERC (Advanced System for Business Research), an application that includes a list of questionnaire types, personalizable, to be able to know: notoriety of the brand name, perception of the image of the company, quality perceived in design, product and/or service, market share, new products tests, new strategies tests, etc...
This system makes it possible for companies to carry out, through their sales network, market research that they need in order to develop adequate strategies for each reality and circumstance.
